≈ marks a rate paid in points, valued at ₹0.33 a point. That is Zenidhi's conservative valuation, the same one the audit uses: the cheap end of what the points can be redeemed for, never the best transfer. Redeemed well, they can be worth more.

What earns nothing

Spend in these categories earns no rewards on this card, however it is paid for:

  • Fuel (since 12 June 2025)
  • Insurance premiums
  • Cash withdrawals and fees

Milestones

In American Express's own words:

  • Earn 1,000 bonus points on 6 transactions of ₹1,000 each every calendar month. → 1,000 MR
  • Earn 5,000 Membership Rewards points when you renew your Card in the first year and pay the annual membership fee. → 5,000 MR

Fees

  • Annual fee: ₹4,500, plus 18% GST
  • Joining fee: ₹1,000

Welcome benefit: 4,000 bonus MR on paying the joining fee and spending ₹10,000 within 90 days.
